Checking for Alerts

Alerts are system-generated warning messages, which indicate that a record needs to be addressed in order to advance the record through the workflow. Alerted objects are marked with an exclamation point (). The alert message appears at the top of the record. The System Events message is saved to maintain the history on the record. After the alert has been addressed, clicking the Clear Alerts button removes the message from the top of the record but not the System Events.

Example: A new Item is alerted because the SKU entered does not exist in the Amazon.com catalog. This error might be due to a typographical error when the merchant entered the SKU. The Order Management user validates the SKU and also confirms that the Amazon SKU matches the Order Management Item Code.

To check for Alerts, follow these steps:

1. In the Main or Inventory accordion menu, select Inventory Manager.
2. From the search criteria fields, select the Amazon name in the Catalog drop-down list or Alerted in the Quick Search drop-down list. Then click Search.

   Alerts for Amazon are listed with the Alert indicator ().

3. Select an Item by clicking its ID. The Item details page opens.
4. Review the System Alerts along the top of the Item page.

   In this example, the merchant corrects the Order Management Item Code to match the Amazon SKU.

5. Click Clear Alerts at the bottom of the System Alerts section.
6. Scroll to the Attributes section. The AmazonItem attribute is correctly set to Yes.
7. Click Update. When the next scheduled Order Management Connector task is run, inventory and pricing are updated to Amazon.
8. Confirm the SKU at the Amazon Seller Central at http://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/homepage.html
