Configuring Auction Settings via Item-Level and Category-Level Providers

While general eBay Provider settings for auctions can be set at the Company level, settings for individual listings and for listings in certain Categories can be set at the Item or Category level. These will override any settings made in the eBay Provider at a higher level.

To configure the eBay Provider settings at the Item or Category level, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Details page for the Item or Category.
  2. Open the Provider dialog as follows:
    • Item: Click the Provider Configuration icon ().
    • Category: Click Provider Attributes.
  3. Select Auction - eBay from the Provider selection drop-down at the top of the dialog.
  4. For an Item, you can look up the eBay Product Reference ID by clicking the link at the top of the page to open the Reference ID search form. The search form includes the following search fields:
    • eBay Item ID
    • UPC
    • Keyword
  5. For a Category, you can attach an eBay account to the Category by clicking the Click here to attach an eBay account link. This opens an eBay registration page. Follow these steps:
    1. Log in using your eBay account credentials.
    2. Complete any additional security questions to proceed.
    3. Read and agree to the eBay terms.
    4. You are returned to the Category Object Configuration dialog. Your eBay username, token expiration date, and account status appear.
    5. Repeat this process prior to the token expiration date.
  6. If desired, select a custom Profile from the drop-down list.
  7. To add a setting to the visible form, select it from the drop-down list and click Add Individual Setting.
Note: By default, no settings are included. Only settings that you select from the list and add are used.
  8. In the Data column, specify a value for each desired setting.
  9. Click Update to save the changes, click Cancel to close the dialog without saving and return to the Item or Category details, or click Clear Configuration to clear all settings in the dialog.

The following table describes the functionality of each configurable setting. Note that hovering over the help (???) icon adjacent to certain fields in the UI opens a tool tip describing the associated field.
