Configuring a Base Locale

You can configure Order Management to appear in a base locale, which is based on the combination of language and country. If a base locale isn't specified, the default is English. If a language other than English, French, or German is selected, then English is used as the language, while the numbers, dates, and currency are in the format of the selected locale.

See Configuration Localization.

  1. In Order Management Administration: click Settings > Preferences.
  2. On the General tab, click Defaults.
  3. On the General Defaults page, select the address type: Commercial or Residential.
This field applies to shipping providers and isn't relevant for localization.
  4. Select the country for the currency from the Base Currency list.
The base currency, the primary system currency, is used to calculate the total currencies of multiple orders in the Queues summary totals. The base currency is also used when showing item pricing.
  5. Select the locale (language – country) from the Base Locale list.
  6. Click Update.
