A new Order Management user requires a user account with the
appropriate access permissions before performing operations in the
Administration module, Customer Service Center, Fulfillment Center, or
Retail Center.
Note: Users cannot have read-only permission to access the
Order Management Administration module.
- Roles represent groupings of specific permissions.
- Roles are assigned to users.
- Users can have multiple roles.
The following roles are available by default:

- Store: permissions mainly useful for Retail Center users.
- Warehouse: permissions mainly useful for Fulfillment Center
users.
- Report Author: permissions mainly useful for Reporting module
users.
- Data Entry User: permissions used for creating and entering data
records in the various Order Management modules.
- Customer Service Agent: user-level permissions for Customer
Service Center.
- Customer Service Manager: full permissions for Customer Service
Center, and some permissions for the Administration module.

other order-related functions in the various Order Management
modules.

in the various Order Management modules.

See the role detail pages in the Roles Manager for detailed
information on the permissions included in each role. Because you can edit
the permission set for default roles, the descriptions provided here might
not match what you have..
The following operations are described in
this section:
Example Scenarios
- You can set up an Accounting role that includes access to the
Payment, Invoice, and Credit Managers. Then, when you create user
accounts for users that perform accounting tasks, assign that role to
those accounts. Users assigned that role have access to those three
Managers, but not to any other areas of Order Management.
- You might have a physical location where users perform both
customer service and order fulfillment tasks. In this case, you might
create a role that includes permissions to use both Fulfillment Center
and Customer Service Center, and assign that role to the user accounts
for employees who perform both functions.
