Using the Immediate Job Launcher

The Immediate Launcher lets you queue an already configured job to run one time on demand. Any defined job in Pre-Launch or Queued status can be run this way. Launching a scheduled job that is already queued submits the job for processing immediately, bypassing the job's predefined schedule. After this run, the scheduled job is re-inserted in the queue to run at its next normally scheduled time. Jobs in Waiting Config status are not eligible for immediate launching.

Note: Attempting to launch a job that is currently running shows an error message.

Selecting the Run Once Now button for an import job runs the job using the existing data source configured in the job.

The Attach File & Run Now button works the same way; however, it's specific to import jobs, allowing you to load a new data source file for the current run of the job. Note that the file must be in the exact same format as the original data source defined in the job in order for the field mappings to import properly.

To run a job using its defined parameters:

  1. In the Utilities accordion menu, select Jobs. The Job Manager appears.
  2. Select the appropriate job from the first Job – Immediate Launcher drop-down list.
  3. Click Run Once Now.

To run an import job on a specified data file:

  1. In the Utilities accordion menu, select Jobs. The Job Manager appears.
  2. Select the appropriate job from the second Job – Immediate Launcher drop-down list.
  3. Click Browse, then find and select the data file to be imported. Data files are limited to 4 MB. Larger files must be split into multiple smaller files and imported separately.
  4. Click Attach File & Run Now.
