Map Tab

The Map tab shows information about how the current Job maps Order Management data to the data in the data source or sink. If no mappings have been defined for the Job, then only the basic controls for creating the map are visible. When at least one field has been mapped, the Mapping table and action buttons appear.

When viewing an export Job, clicking Next opens the Data Sink tab. When viewing an import Job, clicking Next opens the Review tab.

Import Job Data Maps

The following mapping controls appear at the top of the tab:

• Field Drop-Down: A drop-down list containing all valid fields for the object type associated with the current Job.
• Add Button: Adds the currently selected field in the Field drop-down to the map.
• Add All Button: Adds all fields in the Field drop-down to the map.
• Auto Map Button: Attempts to automatically generate mappings for all fields in the Field drop-down. If a field is already included in the map, or if the system doesn't recognize an associated column heading for it in the selected import data, then that field isn't affected.
  Note: If no import data has been selected via the Data Source tab, then this button has no effect.

The Mapping table includes the following columns:

• Selection Checkbox: Used to select rows to be removed from the map. Click the Remove Checked button below the table to remove all checked rows from the map.
• Type: Shows the field type, as defined in the Order Management database. Fields might be Standard, Custom, or Attribute.
• Field: Shows the name of the field in the Order Management database.
• Icon: Shows the current status of the field in the map. Statuses include the following:
  • : The field isn't yet mapped to a column in the import data.
  • : The field is mapped to the import data column specified in the Mapping Field table column or to the value specified in the Fixed Value table column (see below).
• Mapping Field: A drop-down list containing the columns included in the import data. If the arrow icon appears in the Icon table column, then the field is mapped to the import column shown here. Note that this selection is overridden by any value in the Fixed Value table column.
  Note: If no import data has been selected via the Data Source tab, then this drop-down list is empty.
• Fixed Value: Used to specify a fixed value for the field. If a value is entered here, then the field is set to this value for all imported records and the Mapping Field is locked to no selection.
• Set Button: Click this button to map the field to the import data column specified in the Mapping Field drop-down or to the value in the Fixed Value column. Any value in the Fixed Value column overrides the Mapping Field selection.
• Clear Button: Click this button to remove the mapping of the field. This clears both the Mapping Field and Fixed Value columns for that row.
• Delete Icon: Click this icon () to remove the row from the map.

The following action buttons are available below the Mapping table:

• Remove Checked: Removes any rows with selected checkboxes from the map.
• Set All: Maps all rows in the map to the import data columns specified in the corresponding Mapping Field drop-downs or to the values in the corresponding Fixed Value columns. Any value in a Fixed Value column overrides any Mapping Field selection for that row.
• Clear All: Removes the mappings from all rows in the map.
• Remove NonMapped: Deletes any rows that are not mapped (that show the icon) from the table.

Export Job Data Maps

The following mapping controls appear at the top of the tab:

• Field Name: A text box where custom export data column headings can be defined. After defining a column heading here, you must manually map it to an Order Management database field.
• Add Button: Adds the custom column heading in the Field Name box to the map.
• Auto Map Button: Attempts automatically generates mappings for all fields that were selected in the Data Source tab. Mapping names are derived from the Order Management database field names. If a field is already included in the map, then the existing column heading mapped to that field is replaced with the generated mapping.
  Note: If no export data has been selected via the Data Source tab, then this button has no effect.
• Load Field Definitions Link: Opens a text field that allows you to add multiple custom export data column headings.

The Mapping table includes the following columns, shown in the order in which they are exported:

• Selection Checkbox: Used to select rows to be removed from the map. Click the Remove Checked button below the table to remove all checked rows from the map.
• Type: Shows the field type, as defined in the database. Fields might be Standard, Custom, or Attribute.
• Field: Shows the name of the field as it is exported. This appears as a column header in the export data.
• Icon: Shows the current status of the field in the map. Statuses include the following:
  • : The export field isn't yet mapped to a field in the Order Management database.
  • : The export field is mapped to the Order Management database field specified in the Mapping Field table column or to the value specified in the Fixed Value table column (see below).
• Mapping Field: A drop-down list containing the Order Management database fields relevant to the export type. If the arrow icon appears in the Icon table column, then the database field is mapped to the export field shown in the Field column. Note that this selection is overridden by any value in the Fixed Value table column.
  Note: If no export data has been selected via the Data Source tab, then this drop-down list will be empty.
• Fixed Value: Used to specify a fixed value for the field. If a value is entered here, then the field is set to this value for all imported records and the Mapping Field is locked to no selection.
• Set Button: Click this button to map the field to the import data column specified in the Mapping Field drop-down or to the value in the Fixed Value column. Any value in the Fixed Value column overrides the Mapping Field selection.
• Clear Button: Click this button to remove the mapping of the field. This clears both the Mapping Field and Fixed Value columns for that row.
• Sort Buttons: Click the up arrow () or down arrow () to move the current row up or down in the table. The order of rows in the table defines the order of columns in the export data.
• Delete Icon: Click this icon () to remove the row from the map.

The following action buttons are available below the Mapping table:

• Remove Checked: Removes any rows with selected checkboxes from the map.
