Quick Export

The Quick Export tool lets you run queries against the Order Management database. While it isn't as powerful as reports generated through the reporting system with SQL Server Reporting Services, it's quick and easy to use. You can also use it to create custom order searches that appear in the Orders Manager Quick Search.

To use the Quick Export tool, select Quick Export from Order Management Administration: Utilities, and then click Database Export at the top of the page.

For information on running queries, see Exporting Item Records Using the Quick Export Tool. For database objects other than Items, the procedure is the same; simply select a different record type.

The Quick Export page includes the following sections:

Database Export tab Click this tab to open the Database Export form.
Database Export form Shows the following controls for running a query:
  • New Search Menu: Select a record type and, if applicable, a sub-record type or sort order.
  • Saved Searches Menu: Select an existing query that you have saved.
  • Run Search Button: Executes the current query.
  • Max Rows Returned Field: Limits the number of records returned in the query. The default value is 500.
  • Search Name Field: Used to specify a name when saving the current query.
  • Save Button: Saves the current query. For order searches (only), if you prepend "(QS)" to the search name (for example, "(QS) Closed Orders Search"), then the search is also made available in the Quick Search menu in the Orders Manager. Note that it will not appear there until the cache refreshes, and it will not show "(QS)" in the name.
  • Delete Button: Deletes the current query.
  • Export to Excel Button: Saves the query results in CSV format in the download folder configured in the browser.
